Mary Willene Warren Woodcock, 84, entered into rest on March 10, 2014.

Mrs. Woodcock was born on March 10, 1930 in Coweta County, Georgia to the late Tommy Lee and Kate (Short) Warren. She graduated in 1947 from Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia, and worked as a telephone switchboard operator and photography studio model.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Mary served in the military from 1951- 1957, traveling to TX, WY and Washington, DC where she worked as a communications/crypto specialist, and at the Pentagon.
She married husband Frank in 1957, they had two children, and as a family moved 9 times in 16 years (Washington, DC, Maryland, Bermuda, Georgia (Robins AFB), Germany, Maine, Massachusetts, back to Georgia (Robins AFB), and Colorado). Mary also retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as an analyst and supervisor in procurement from 1973-1987.

In addition to reading mystery novels and doing crossword and cryptogram puzzles, Mary enjoyed creative writing, oil painting, tracing genealogy, and flower arranging. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Fowler and Bonnie Nixon.

Mary's memory will be forever treasured by her loving husband of 56 years, Frank J. Woodcock; daughter, Linda Gillis (Dan) of Bonaire; son, Mark Woodcock (Lee) of Macon; grandchildren, Jason DeLoach (Dana) of Byron, Sean Woodcock of Portland, Oregon, Caitlin Gillis of Bonaire, Sara Gillis of Bonaire, Kristopher Woodcock of Macon; and great grandson, Mason Woodcock.

A Rosary Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, followed by visitation from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 12:00 noon in Andersonville National Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604.
