Matthew "Matt" Lamar Browning

Matthew LaMar Browning, a handsome and energetic spirit, was welcomed to the world on August 14, 1990. Affectionately known as Matt, he was born to the loving parents of Bobbie Bell Browning and the late MSgt. John Earl Browning, in Warner Robins, Georgia. Matt was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, March 6, 2020.

A Middle Georgia native, Matt attended Northside High School and successfully obtained his General Education Diploma (GED) by attending adult education classes. He was a compassionate and talented artist who cherished his friends and was the glue that kept the circle in unison. Together, they created visual art using graphic designs and graffiti as their medium. They also produced hip-hop music as a way of expression.

Matt was truly adored by his niece, De’Jonna “D.J.”. He served as her surrogated father, taking her to annual father-daughter dances. Spending time with Uncle Matt meant that D.J. could ride “shot-gun” when hanging with the “Big Boys”, never being bored, making videos, and being her personal motivational speaker.

In addition to his father, Matt was preceded in death by his siblings, Carlos and Mona Browning; uncle, Ronald James Browning and aunts, Emma Ruth Bell, and Elnora Joiner.

Leaving is always difficult, but his memories will rest in the hearts of those he cherished the most. His loving mother, Bobbie Bell Browning; siblings, John Browning, Jr., Jelvita Browning, Dorita Lynn Clay, Jonilyn Browning, Paul Browning and Kristy Browning; loving niece, De’Jonna “D.J.” Browning, all of Warner Robins and Aria Browning of Little Rock, Arkansas; Uncles, Jimmie (Saundra) of Liberty, Ohio, and Charles Browning of Little Rock, Arkansas; Aunts, Ernestine Durrah of Atlanta, Georgia, and Estelle Willis of California; as well as many other numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

A memorial gathering will be Friday, March 13, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Friday, March 13, 2020 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Josh B. Kirvin officiating.
