Mr. Carroll was born on September 5, 1956 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a retired truck driver for Hogan Transportation. His father, James Garland Carroll, preceded him in death.

Family members include his wife, Rachel Carroll; daughters, Chellie Carroll and Mandi Griffin; sons Troy "T. J." Carroll, , and Jim Davis; mother, Elizabeth Longshore; Floyd Eugene "Woody" Woodruff; sister, Sabrina Choney; brother, James A. Johnson; grandchildren, Brayden "Bubba" Carroll, Lexi Warren, Thomas Adams, Harley Davis, Christian Davis, Isabella Griffin, and Yvonne Settles.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
