Michael Dee Luther

Michael Luther, 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Michael was born on August 26, 1957 in Macon, Georgia to the late Aubrey and Janie Moore Luther. A graduate of Northside High School, he proudly served in the United States Navy. Michael attended basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Station before serving the majority of his active duty time upon the USS Independence. He was honorably discharged as a one hundred percent disabled veteran. Michael then began working for Blue Bird Corporation as a material handler for many years. He was a very generous man who always gave selflessly to many charities.

His memory will forever be treasured by his brothers, Robert McInvale (Susie) of Perry, Steve Luther of Warner Robins, as well as two nephews, Benjamin McInvale and David Luther.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Peter Gibson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Michael Dee Luther to the Disabled American Veteran’s Foundation, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 or the charity of donor’s choice.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Patricia, Corey, Tisha, Peter, and the rest of the staff at Pruitt Hospice for their love and care of Michael during the recent weeks.
