Mike Thompson

James Micheal Thompson, 57, affectionately known as “Soul Man”, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007.

Mike was born on August 19, 1950 in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Bette Austin and Charlie Thompson. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. With a full life in the car business, Mike never met a stranger. Mike was an entertainer his entire life; he lived to sing, cook, and make people laugh. He loved his family and friends dearly. A dreamer until the end, Mike will live on in our hearts forever.

He was a devoted brother to Rick (Maureen) and Dean Thompson; loving father to Jessica Odom, Megan Thompson Fitchuck (Ian), and Micheal Thompson; excited grandfather of Lucy Austin Fitchuck

Visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Centerville Cemetery.
