Miranda Jane Putnam

November 4, 1981 — July 2, 2021

Miranda Jane Putnam, 39, passed away at home in the late afternoon hours of Friday, July 2, 2021. She was the daughter of Richard Ben and Jane O’Neal Putnam.

Born in Warner Robins on November 4, 1981, Miranda was a graduate of Valdosta State University, from which she earned a degree in respiratory therapy. She had the most empathetic and caring heart, which over the years allowed her to help countless patients, family, and friends alike. Miranda had the uncanny ability to feel others’ pain and to give freely of herself to help anyone in need. She always stood up for the underdog, and was proud to work with children with Autism at ABA Therapy Clinic.

Undoubtedly and loyally dedicated to her family, all of whom she loved, Miranda was the best mother to her three children. She was an absolute kid at heart when she was with them and loved watching each of them do what they loved. Miranda always looked forward to cheering for her son, Chandler, while he played football, and for her son, Landon, while he played baseball. She was also very artistic, and her love of arts and crafts was adopted by her daughter, Peyton. They enjoyed creating jewelry and playing house together. Miranda leaves behind so many who will remember her smiles and laughter that were never in short supply and had the ability to fill the room with light.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Winton J. and Lucille A. O’Neal, and Frank H. and Vera B. Putnam; as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Those left to cherish Miranda’s memory are her loving children, Chandler David Herrington, Landon Van Herrington and Peyton Anderson Herrington; her parents, Richard Ben and Jane Elizabeth Putnam; siblings, Lisa Marie Crawford (Thomas Allen) and Chad Richard Putnam; her cousin who she called “sister,” Brandi O’Neal Peavy; and her niece and nephews, Caleb Thomas Crawford, Camryn Elizabeth Crawford and Conner Joseph Crawford.
