Mitchel L. Davis, Jr.

Mitchel Lloyd Davis, Jr., 53, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Emory University Hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2004, at Christ United Methodist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 4 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Mr. Davis was born in Denver, CO. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Methodist Christ United Methodist Men, Faithlink Sunday School Class, Chancel Choir, Men’s Prayer Group, and working part time at Home Depot. He loved working with his hands and gardening and he enjoyed fishing, making stained glass and playing the guitar. He was a retired Probation Officer with the State of Georgia. His mother, Della Opheikens Davis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Colter Davis, and daughter, Miranda Davis, Warner Robins; father, Mitchell Lloyd Davis, Sr., Sterling, CO; sisters, Vicki McPherron (Mike), North Platte, NE, Darlene Carpio (Bob), Yuma, CO, and Lori Gillham (Byron), Peetz, CO; Mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Colter, Macon; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Ron Digby, Gastonia, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; three great nieces and one great nephew.
