Mollie Gladys Barker

Mollie (Gladys) Tompkins Barker died Wednesday, August 25, 2004. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, at River of Light Church of God, 1304 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088, with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 28, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Mrs. Barker was born in Washington County, Georgia. She moved to Warner Robins in 1943 and was employed at RAFB before retiring. She was a Charter Member of the first Church of God in Warner Robins. She is a member of the River of Light Church of God, Ladies Bible Class and Ladies Prayer Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest S. Barker; sons, Ronald Barker and Dan Barker; parents, Milo C. and Eliza Tompkins, three brothers, Ira, Cecil, and Roy Tompkins; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

Survivors include, three daughters, Rachel B. Howell (Joseph), Warner Robins; Eunice “Sam” Gilmore (Denis), Costa Mesa, CA; and Brenda B. Fox, Warner Robins; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
