Myra Hughes Axtell

Myra Hughes Axtell, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007.

Mrs. Axtell was born on November 2, 1934 in Wheeler County, Georgia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. Myra retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked in civil service as an Administrative Assistant. After retirement, she volunteered at the Museum of Aviation. Her husband, Clifford L. Axtell, her son, Thomas L. Axtell, and her parents, John Thomas and Agnes Caldwell Hughes, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lynne Axtell, Jonesboro, AR; Kerry and Colleen Axtell, Stuart, FL; Jerry and Kathie Axtell, Warner Robins; and six grandchildren, Ashli, Madison, Chandler, Tyler, Brandon, and Caitlyn.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
