Nadine Thomas Knowles

March 2, 1932 — April 5, 2023

Nadine Thomas Knowles, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Mrs. Knowles was born on March 2, 1932, in Scotland, Georgia to the late Milton and Vera Page Thomas. Her life can best be summarized with her two priorities: God and her family. Her gift was taking care of people, and she did it well. She faithfully served her Lord at Bonaire First Baptist Church where she was devoted to her Sunday School class. Baseball season was one of her favorite times of the year as she cheered for the Atlanta Braves. Cooking and sewing kept her busy whenever she was not out fishing with her loving husband of nearly 70 years. Mrs. Knowles was preceded in death by her husband, John Enoch Knowles; her daughter, Beckie Peterson; her parents; and 11 siblings.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Linda Montague (Bob) of Navarre, Florida and Jana Hutchinson (Bobby) of Warner Robins; son-in-law, Johnny Peterson of Conyers; grandchildren, Tim Harkins (Lori), Johnny “Tre” Peterson (Jennifer), Kimberly Rendle (Leigh), Jennifer Elliott (Billy), Jamie Goodman (Ross), John Jones (Sarah), Tyler Hamrick (Lauralee), Martha Parrish (Danny), Micah Montague, Cassandra Kare, Scott Hutchinson, and Shanna Hutchinson (Kevin); great-grandchildren, Dixie Hepstall, Sydney Elliott, Ethan Elliott, Kayla Jones, Cheyenne Jones, Devin Rendle, Victoria Rendle, Marley Harkins, Espen Goodman, Adelynn Goodman, Jason Woolery, Emily Grace Jones, Finley Rendle, Maria Slattery, Daniel Parrish, Riley Parrish, Ethan Montague, Ellie Montague, Jenna Kare, William Parker, Haley Burns, Stephen Hutchinson, Michael Hutchinson, Bobby Hutchinson, and Raven Hutchinson; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Visitation with Mrs. Knowles’s family will be Friday, April 7, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Bonaire First Baptist Church with the Reverend Kenny Rodgers officiating.
