Nelson F. "Jimbo" Saddler

Mr. Nelson F. “Jimbo” Saddler, 95, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Mr. Saddler was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1922 to the late Thomas F. and Bertha Howell Saddler. He was married to the late Margie Beasley Saddler who passed away in 2011.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Saddler went on to receive an Associates Degree in general studies. He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and made his church home at First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. Mr. Saddler was also a former Warner Robins City Council member and served under the Homer J. Walker administration. He enjoyed cultivating daylilies and was the Honorary President of the Middle Georgia Hemerocallis Society.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Saddler was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Jean Kilko.

Left to treasure Mr. Saddler’s memory are his two sons, Jimmy Butch Saddler and Larry James Saddler; a daughter, Betty Lou Saddler; one brother, Jerry Saddler; as well as eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Saddler will be private.
