Warner Robins – Norman Lee Saunders, Jr., 67, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2004 in his home. Services will be held at 2:00 on Monday, January 19, at Friendship Baptist Church with interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery, Perry. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099.

Mr. Saunders was born in Lumber City, GA. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an Electronics Technician. His father, Norman Lee Saunders, Sr., mother, Lottie Mae Saunders and brother, Herman Saunders preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Faye Saunders, Warner Robins; daughter, Sue Hutcheson (Mark), Woodstock; son, Martin Saunders (Dawn), Perry; daughter, Jen Shepherd (Mark), Maryville, TN; step-daughters, Vicki James, Kathleen, Brenda Brown, Warner Robins, Debra Perry, Safety Harbor, FL; siblings, Myrilene Mullins, Hixon, TN, Betty Pope, Tifton, Milton Saunders, Dallas, GA, Jay Saunders, Nahunta, GA, Robert Saunders, Tifton, Shirley Adkins, Woodstock, Jerry Saunders, Roswell, Jim Saunders, Mayer, AZ, Charlie Saunders, Alpharetta; grandchildren, Brooks, Clint, Lauren and Dylan Hutcheson of Woodstock, GA; Summer, Julia and Grady Saunders of Perry; Alexandria and Thomas Shepherd of Maryville, TN; five step-grandsons.
