Norrine T. Williams

August 18, 1936 — December 22, 2017

Norrine Williams, 81, entered into rest on Friday, December 22, 2017.

Norrine was born on August 18, 1936 in Miami, Florida to the late Norris and Mary Duckett Gillins. She and her family moved often when she was a child before settling in Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated high school. Norrine met and married Earl Brown Williams and they began their family. As a military wife moving to many different places during her husband’s Air Force career, she was a devoted homemaker always providing a supportive environment for their children. They eventually settled in Niceville, Florida, which they called home for many years. Later, Norrine moved to California to live with her sister before moving in with her daughter, Michelle which led her to Warner Robins. A devoted Christian, Norrine was baptized in 1963 at Little Zion Baptist Church by Rev. J.W. Darden of Hampton, Virginia. She served the Lord teaching Sunday school and in various ways in several different churches throughout her life. Norrine was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, she had a servant’s heart and was willing to give to anyone in need. In her spare time, Norrine enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, and having fun with her beloved family and friends.

Her sister, Annabelle Williams, preceded her in death.

Norrine’s memory will forever be treasured by her children, Karon Carter (Joseph) of Winter Haven, Florida, Eric Williams (Shelly) of Palmdale, California, Ferrell Williams (Michelle) of Louisville, Kentucky, Michelle Culpepper of Warner Robins, Georgia, Felicia McGee (William) of Los Angles, California, and Andrea Johnson (Andrea) of Gardenia, California; grandchildren, Willece, James, Quinten, Imani, Nailah, Hiranda, Christopher, Amanda, Xavier, Myles, Justin, and Jie; 10 great-grandchildren; and cousins, Gloria Crumpler of Riverdale, Georgia and Patricia Hilliary of East Point, Georgia.
