Oliver G. Bridges

Oliver G. Bridges, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Peachbelt Health and Rehabilitation. Services will be held at 12:00 on Saturday, November 5, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Al Sihah Shrine Center, 222 Mecca Drive, Macon, Georgia 31206.

Mr. Bridges was born in Gieger, Alabama on December 4, 1924. He served in the 121st Infantry in World War II and was a member of the Last Man’s Club. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Bridges was a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Al Sihah Shrine Center. He was made Emeritus Chief Aide in 2002 after having worked for Shrinedom from 1977. He was a member of Houston County Shrine Club, Klassic Auto Unit, and Royal Order of Jesters. His parents, Gordon Bridges and Birdie B.Capps; sister, Hester B. Rooney, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara B. Bridges, Warner Robins; sons, Terry B. (Caren) Bridges, Warner Robins; Mark O. Bridges, Warner Robins; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
