Oree Dahile Wright

Oree Dahile Wright, 89, formerly of Savannah, died on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Fort Valley Healthcare. Born in Lyons, Georgia on Christmas Day, 1930, she lived in Savannah for most of her life. An excellent homemaker, Oree also enjoyed working for the Savannah Exchange Club where she helped maintain the fairgrounds. In recent years, she moved to Warner Robins to be closer to her children and made First Freewill Baptist Church her church home.

Oree was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Edward Wright; and her daughter, Margie J. Woods.

She is survived by her loving sons, Glenn Junior Wright of Fort Valley and Matthew Luke Wright of Warner Robins; grandson, Ryan Hudson Wright of Byron; great-grandson, Cooper Wright; sisters, Jeanette Underwood of Pennsylvania and Shirley Williams of Statesboro; brothers, Ernest Underwood, Johnny Underwood, and Richard Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Oree will be laid to rest next to John at a graveside funeral service in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
