Pamela Jane McCollough, born on August 25, 1947 in Oilton, Oklahoma to the late David and Joanne Webbert of Oilton, Oklahoma, entered heaven’s gates on the morning of Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was 70 years old.
A graduate of Pryor High School in Pryor, Oklahoma, Pam played the clarinet with the band and proudly held the titles of Head Majorette and Band Queen. She was united in marriage to Lieutenant Colonel, Ret. Nicky Lynn McCollough on January 7, 1967. They were married for 51 blissful years. As a United States Air Force officer’s wife, Pam always made sure that each new assignment felt like home to her family. They embraced the opportunity to live in Athens, Greece for several years and loved traveling and camping in a Volkswagen camper van across Europe. Pam always said the coast of Amalfi was one of her favorite destinations.
In her early years of marriage and motherhood, she enjoyed playing tennis and sewing, often sewing matching outfits for her two young daughters. Pam was past president of many Officers’ Wives Clubs and PTAs around the country. She was also a previous member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. In her golden years, Pam enjoyed gardening, attending her grandsons’ school and sporting events, and traveling. Most of her trips revolved around taking her grandchildren on adventures to the beach, mountains, Washington DC, and many trips to Disney World. Pam was one of the most generous individuals to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. (ret) Nicky L. McCollough of Warner Robins; daughters, Tiffany Taylor (Lee) of Savannah, Georgia and Summer Richardson (Joe) of Bonaire, Georgia; grandsons, Tanner, Drew and Alec Cobb, Landon, Taylor and Ryan Bell, and Will Richardson; and her identical twin brothers, David Webbert (Renee) and Dennis Webbert (Victoria).
The family wishes to express their greatest gratitude to the nurses at Houston Medical Center and to Hospice Care Options who cared for Pam this past week.
