Patricia Ann Funk

Patricia Ann Funk, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, January 27, 2011.

Mrs. Patricia Funk was born on August 21, 1929 in Haines City, Florida. With pride and honor she served in the United States Navy Reserves and was a retired teacher from the Houston County school system. Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church was her church home. Her parents, Emory Byrd and Flossie Lee Peoples Byrd, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Norman Funk, children, Norma Kay (David) Sorensen, Centerville; Julia Lee (Edward) Abbott, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Kenneth Emory (Terrie) Funk, Warner Robins; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two adopted great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, D.C.O. Jerry Bisping officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to charity of donor's choice.
