Peggy B. Johnson

Peggy Johnson, age 79, joined her beloved husband, Marion Franklin “Sonny” Johnson, Sr., in Heaven on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

Peggy was born to the late Benjamen Osbie and Ruby Peavy Henderson in Dublin, Georgia, on March 17, 1940. She retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was an active and faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair for 20 years. Peggy absolutely loved fishing (white perch was her favorite), crocheting, needlework, and cooking. You could always find her in the kitchen, most likely baking cookies or cakes. Peggy was the heart of the Johnson family; her everlasting love for each member and time spent with them will be forever treasured.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda D. Warren; and sisters, Betty Brannan and Bobbie Young.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving children, Bonnie D. Jones (Phillip) and Marion F. “Frankie” Johnson, Jr. (Regina); grandchildren, Alan Warren (Vanessa), Stephen Mygues, Allison and Aaron Schielie, Braedon Warren Jones and Kimberly M. Lozada; great-grandchildren, Konner and Piper Warren, Easton Schielie, Jordan Jones, Kayla Rutledge, and Kelsey and Jaden Lozada; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Pastor Phil Brannan will officiate.
