Peggy Jean Kimsey

Peggy Jean Kimsey, 64, passed away peacefully at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon on Friday, December 7, 2018.

Peggy was born in Homer, Georgia on April 14, 1954. A resident of middle Georgia for most of her life, she was a loving stay at home mother and devoted wife. Peggy enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her family. Her loving heart and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Anthony Kimsey; and siblings, Violet Harbert and Garland Newsome.

Peggy’s memory will forever be treasured by her children, Chanda Hayes (David) of Warner Robins, and Macy Toland (Mark), Anthony Wayne Kimsey (Brenda), and Jamie Gonzalez, all of Byron; grandchildren, Alana, Bethany, Savanna, Dylan, Wayne, Kristen, Gracie, and Winter; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Grover Newsome of Kathleen, Roger Newsome of Byron, and Jerry Newsome of Macon; and a number of adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Willie Crosby officiating. Following the service, Peggy will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
