Petra Christner

On the morning of Wednesday, March 15, 2023, our beloved wife, sister and friend, Petra Christner, passed into the hands of Jesus. She was 64 years old.

Petra was born in Germersheim, Germany on April 3, 1958 and was of the Protestant faith. She was a retired clerical worker for Deutsche Post in Germany and was known for her hard work and organizational skills; she was always prepared for events. Petra eventually moved to the United States with Curtis, but never forgot her roots. She dearly loved her family and treated Curtis’s family as her own. Petra also had numerous friends, all of who she was proud to stand up for. She greeted new people with open arms and was genuinely interested to know more about their lives. In addition to her adoration for people, she had a huge soft spot for animals, especially for her dogs. Petra’s warm and welcoming disposition will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 16 years, Curtis Christner of Warner Robins; sister, Marita Sach of Germersheim, Germany; and nieces, Manwhaeler and Claudia.

A memorial service celebrating Petra’s life will take place on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
