Phosie Ann Gilliam

Ann Gilliam passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Monday August 14, 2017. She was 64 years old.

Born a coal miner’s daughter on September 9, 1952 in Norton, Virginia, Ann was the daughter of the late Bill B. and Virginia Fraley Shepherd. She and her siblings grew up in a very financially poor but love rich home, and she was determined to make something of herself. After moving to Warner Robins, Ann worked for Dr. Paul Coplin’s office for 26 years and considered herself a success. She didn’t have children of her own, but loved all kids deeply. Ann also loved flowers, collecting rocks, cooking, and will be lovingly remembered by everyone she knew. She was of the Methodist faith.

Ann leaves her memory behind with her loving siblings, Bonnie Gray of Kathleen, and Andy Shepherd and Bobby Shepherd (Sherry), both of Coeburn, Virginia; nieces and nephews, Michael Soderman and Janet Soderman, both of Kathleen, and Tammy Harrison and Douglas Edwards, both of Easley, South Carolina; great-nieces, Payton and Baylee Soderman, Charis Carter, and Caitlyn Shepherd; and special friends, Connie Rodgers and Gina Hall.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Ann will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
