Rachel Inell Finger

On the evening of Monday, September 17, 2018, Rachel Inell Finger was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 92.

Rachel was born in Lilly, Georgia on March 30, 1926 to the late Eva Carswell Finger. Of the Baptist faith, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and loving homemaker who loved her family dearly. In her free time, Rachel enjoyed working in the garden and tending to her blueberries and pecans, as well as being a member of The Gold Star Wives of America.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther F. Finger, Sr. and his son, Luther F. Finger, Jr.; as well as her first husband, Robert H. Finger, Sr. and his son, Robert H. Finger, Jr.

Rachel’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughters, Margaret Brooks (Denver) of Bonaire, GA, Catherine Crowley of State College, PA, Barbara O’Meara (Patrick) of Concord, NC and Donna Marie Schott (Jeff) of Dover, PA; and 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest next to Luther, Sr. Rev. Jeff Cleghorn will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Rachel to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Ste A, Macon, GA 31201.
