Randy Keith Skeen

October 8, 1960 — June 20, 2021

Randy Keith Skeen, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed unexpectedly from this life on June 20, 2021. He was 60 years old at the time of his passing.

Born in Orlando, Florida on October 8, 1960, Randy was the son of the late James and Shirley Boggs Skeen. With his parents, Randy grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, Southern California, and Big Stone Gap, Virginia. It was in Virginia where he graduated high school at Powell Valley High School. During school, Randy was the consummate athlete, starring in wrestling, baseball, and football. It was also in high school where Randy met the love of his life, Susan Cox. After his high school career, Randy joined the U.S. Marines for a brief time before deciding his true calling was a master electrician. The couple was married in 1984. They moved around from Virginia to California to Oregon before ending up in Warner Robins. The Skeens have been in Middle Georgia since July 1998. Randy worked for many years for Service Electric “Mr. Electric.”

A devoted family man, Randy was a doting grandfather whose grandchildren were his world. He was a proud father who loved his children unconditionally. Randy was a longtime member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, Randy was an avid reader, a history buff, and loved animals.

In addition to his parents, Randy was reunited in Heaven with his son, Ryan Matthew Skeen, who passed in 2015, as well as siblings, Margie Skeen, Jeff Skeen, and Sheila Skeen; and father-in-law, Russ Cox.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 36 years, Susan “Susie” Cox Skeen of Bonaire, Georgia; children, Mandi Skeen (Dennis Bean, Jr.) of Bonaire, Lindi Skeen (Brad Kimball) of Warner Robins, and R.J. Skeen (Katie) of Toccoa Falls, Georgia; grandsons, Jace Kimball and Kobe Ryan Bean; mother-in-law, Charlene Cox of Salem, Oregon; and siblings, James Skeen (Fabi), Theresa Armendariz (Richard), Gary Skeen (Cheryl), Kenneth Skeen (Jennifer), and Lisa Skeen.
