Ray L. Caudill

October 23, 1924 — August 14, 2017

On the evening of Monday, August 14, 2017, Ray Caudill, 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior.

Ray was born on October 23, 1924 in Jeff, Kentucky to the late Nelson H. and Amanda Farler Caudill. With great pride and honor, he served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Hopping during World War II. Ray retired from Robins Air Force Base as an electronics technician. He was a hard worker and a jack-of-all-trades; he loved to tinker and could fix anything he put his hands on. Ray built three houses for his family and enjoyed flowers, gardening, bird watching, and beekeeping.

Along with his parents, his siblings, Elmer Caudill, Bill Caudill, Thelma Cornett, and Beulah Rickhoff, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 73 years, Bonnie Caudill of Bonaire; his children, Phyllis Wuorenma (James) of Plymouth, Michigan; Peggy Winfield (James) of Harrison Township, Michigan; Phillip Caudill (Cathy) of Mesa, Arizona; Carlene Kalebaugh (George) of Warner Robins; Linda Reilman (Dan) of Northville, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Richmond Caudill (Martha) of Pembroke Pines, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Ray will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with military honors.
