Raymond Ray Wheeler

Raymond Wheeler, 78, entered into rest on Monday, June 15, 2009.

Mr. Wheeler was born on May 12, 1931 in Cary North Carolina. He served his country with pride an honor in the United States Air Force and retired after twenty-two years of service having attained the rank of Master Sergeant. His love of service was evident in his commitment to his country, family, friends and to his home church, Warner Robins First Presbyterian Church..
His parents, Luby Wheeler and Nora Mae Wheeler, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-six years, Lea Wheeler, Warner Robins; son, Nathan Wheeler (Sherri), Ormond Beach, Florida; daughters, Michelle Pugh (Doug) and Seanna Milam (Wesley), both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Patrick, John Mark and Hannah Wheeler; Ryan (Tabitha) Aaron, Kaitlyn Pugh and Brenna, Marlea, Chanlea, Amanda and Somer , Marnie; great-grandchildren, Brenson, Chloe, Kennadie, and Makenzie; nieces and nephews, Betty Jo, Butchie, Ron, Kevin and Buck; extended family, Harry (Shirley) Hall, Mark (Stacy) Hall, Tim (Julie) Luschen, Mary (Jeremy), Melanie (Konley) and Bob (Casey), Jackie Capshaw, Megan and Heather (BJ); Jeff (Brenna) Jessica, Jeremy and Sean Clabough; Cindy Birdsong and Ginny and Sarah.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Paula Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Presbyterian Church Coffee Shop, 1139 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins GA 31093.
