Reba D. Thomas

On the morning of Saturday, December 23, 2017, Reba Duggan Thomas, 83, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Thomas was born on February 12, 1934 in Johnson County, Georgia to the late Julian and Hilda Jenkins Duggan. She graduated from Warner Robins High School where she also excelled in basketball. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed spending time with her Women’s Aglow Fellowship. She was a faithful member of Green Acres Baptist Church. But, her greatest joy in life came from caring for others. Mrs. Thomas was an excellent caregiver for her husband, her mother, and her sister—putting their needs above all else. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, and friends. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-two years, Charles L. Thomas, and her siblings, Laverne Luck, Mary Snipes, J.M. Duggan, Jr., and David Duggan

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring children, Patricia Chan (Guy) of Seattle, Washington, Debra Sanders (Billy) of Florence, Alabama, and David Thomas (Valencia) of Warner Robins; her grandchildren, Sedgywyck Chan, Elizabeth Harper (Larry), Robert Sanders, Catherine Sanders, Christopher Pfannkuche-Thomas (Jennifer), Gabriel Pfannkuche-Thomas, Abigail Rogers (Jeremy), and Justin Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trey and Lauren Harper and Adam and Alyssa Rogers; her sisters-in-law, Betty Duggan and Carolyn Calhoun; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The funeral service celebrating Mrs. Thomas’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the Dr. Johnny Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, Mrs. Thomas will be laid to rest next to her husband in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Reba D. Thomas to Green Acres Baptist Church, 901 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093 or Pine Pointe Hospice and Palliative Care, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
