Reverend William Charles Nall

August 6, 1937 — December 8, 2019

William Charles Nall, a great husband, father, and family man, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Charles was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, on August 6, 1937, to the late John Leon and Nettie Mae Cook Nall. A proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force, he proudly served his country for 20 years; he retired in 1976 having attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Subsequent to his military career, Charles went to Seminary where he earned his Master’s Degree in Divinity and joined the ministry. He faithfully served as pastor at several churches before he was called to serve as the international pastor at Central Baptist Church of Warner Robins for nearly 15 years.

Rev. Nall always found ways to be of service to others; he enjoyed volunteering with the Warner Robins Food Bank and taught in the English as a Second Language (ESL) group to help people learn the English language. Charles loved traveling, fishing, woodworking, being outside in the yard, and walking. When you first met him, he was the “silent one” until he got to know you. Once Charles opened up, you would come to know his caring disposition, and his energetic and funny sense of humor. His genuine love for his family and for people will be remembered by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Nall was preceded in death by two wives, Diane and Hanne.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Glenda F. Nall; children with his late first wife, Diane: Linda Denise Jones (Robert) and Cheryll N. Gibbs (Michael); children with his late second wife, Hanne: Renate Bittick, Ginger Butts (Johnny), and Heidi Jackson; six step-children, all living in the Philippines; 25 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as a niece and several nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Charles’ life will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Dilks officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Charles to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31093.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
