Rhonda Jane Smith

September 16, 1962 — May 25, 2022

Rhonda Jane Smith passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her residence. She was 59 years old.

A smart and strong woman, she was the epitome of a “Mama Bear.” Rhonda had the biggest laugh you could ever hear. She was selfless but also displayed some tough love when the occasion warranted. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she worked at the United States Postal Service as a postmaster for 15 years. In her spare time, Rhonda loved to travel and shop. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren, cherishing every moment she spent with them. Rhonda had a great love for her mom and the two shared a special bond that will last forever.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Pack.

She is survived by her children, Maranda Smith-Pyles (Jeremy) of Tennessee, Jacob Smith of Georgia, and Coy Smith of Utah; mother, Emma Pack Williams of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Dustyn Fortner, Joshua Pyles, Emma Smith, and Ivey Smith; sibling, Ronnie Pack (Belize); and former spouse, James Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Parkway Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest.
