Rickie Duane Adams

Rickie Adams, 58, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.

Rickie was born in Muncie, Indiana on December 20, 1958 and was of the Baptist faith. As a young man, he excelled in track and field winning countless ribbons and also won first place in several swimming competitions. Rickie proudly joined the United States Army shortly after graduating high school and later moved to Warner Robins a few years following his military career. A 35-year resident of Warner Robins, he retired from Sandpiper Apartments after 17 years as a maintenance supervisor. Rickie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Manis Adams; and his brother, Bruce Adams.

Rickie leaves his memory behind with his loving wife of 34 years, Alma Adams of Warner Robins; children, Laura McGrew (Kevin) of Centerville, Jackie Scarborough (Gene) and Troy Upshaw (Amanda), both of Byron, Tracy Adams of Warner Robins, Christy Adams of Augusta, and Casey Adams of Twiggs County; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; father, Charles Adams of Muncie, Indiana; and sisters, Vickie McCord (Montey), Sharon Williams (Bobby), and Teena McCoy (Jeff), all of Muncie, Indiana.

Visitation will be Friday, August 11th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12th in Magnolia Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be given to a fund benefitting Rickie Adams. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Rickie Adams Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Adams’ arrangements.
