July 20, 1933 — January 30, 2022

Robert A. “Bob” Couillard, Sr. passed away at his home on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was 88 years old.

Born in Saugus, Massachusetts on July 20, 1933, Bob was the son of the late Oscar and Estelle Auger Couillard. After high school, he proudly joined the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. After his four-year active duty stint, Bob went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He moved to Warner Robins and started his three-decade long civil service career. During his tenure at Robins Air Force Base, Bob was in manufacturing, purchasing, and security police. He also spent some time at the Warner Robins Police Department. After retiring from his civil service career, Bob then worked for Warner Robins Supply and also drove a bus for Happy Hour Service Center, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. A 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus, Bob had the honor of serving as a Grand Knight. An avid baseball fan, Bob coached his sons throughout their Little League careers and later was the president of the Warner Robins National League. In addition to baseball, Bob loved woodworking and watching sports.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Pattie Leverett Couillard; siblings, Norman Couillard, Arthur Couillard, Beatrice Cronin, Roland Couillard, and Jeanette Nelson.

Left to treasure his memory are his children, Ronda Foote (Steve) of Fort Valley and Michael Couillard (Lisa) and Robert A. Couillard, Jr (Sandi), all of Warner Robins; brother, Raymond Couillard (Mary Ann), of Saugus, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Shaun Dykes (Michelle), Hank Couillard (Ginger), Shane Colliard (Anna Clare), Cody Gibson, Jordan Couillard (Tracy), and Payton Couillard; and great grandchildren, Olivia, Charlotte, Ella Clare, Michael, and a baby girl due in April.
