Robert Anthony Gavin

Robert Anthony Gavin, 61, entered into Heaven on Sunday, January 5, 2014.

Robert was born on January 11, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia, a son of Arthur B. and Helen C. Gavin. He worked for the City of Warner Robins as a building inspector and was a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church. Robert absolutely relished the time he spent with family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His parents and sister, Carol Dyer, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Susan Fussell Gavin of Warner Robins; children, Audra Wilson of St. Simons, Georgia and Alison Gavin of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Anslie, Ashtyn, Landon, Kynlie, Kyndal, Brantley, Jacob and Caroline; siblings, Jo Ann Kenroy (Al) of Austin, Texas, Arthur Gavin, Jr. (Madeline) of Forsyth, Georgia, Mike Gavin of Warner Robins; and Mary Gibson of Centerville; father-in-law, Guy Fussell, Sr. (Clarice) of Warner Robins; and several adoring nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Robert loved his church, so in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1040 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
