Robert "Bob" Day

Robert “Bob” Day, 82, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2004 at his home. Mr. Day was cared for at home by Hospice of Houston County the last months of his life, attended by family and friends Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 2:00 p.m. in Georgia War Veterans Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Mr. Day was born January 7, 1922 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base after a career as a contracting officer and proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Preceding him in death were his wife of 54 years, Adele Day; parents, Dennis Day and Ethel (Baltes) Day; three sisters and six brothers.

Survivors include, daughters, Joan Day Dixon (Jerry), Bonaire, GA; Lorraine Day Hill (Steve), Athens, GA; son, Timothy Day (Nancy), Racine, WI; sisters, Barbara Dixon, Dayton, OH; Frances Trickler, Dayton, OH; Susan McGarvey, Dayton, OH; brothers, David Day, Seminole, FL; James Day, Hillborough, OH; and five grandchildren.
