Robert (Bob) Elliott Mears, Sr.

Robert Elliott Mears, Sr., 63, entered into rest on Friday, October 21, 2011.

Mr. Mears was born on December 17, 1947 in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years, enlisted during the Vietnam era. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic. A resident of Warner Robins since 1971, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting and fishing. His mother, Brydie Ruth Langford Mears, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty years, Kiyoko Tsukayama Mears, Warner Robins; father and stepmother, Maurice Lamont and Loretta Mears, Macon; children, Robbie Mears (Jamie), Perry; Mandy Mears and Seth Mears, both of Athens; siblings, Butch Mears, Beth Hyder, Brian Mears, Brenda Brown; step brother, Jimmy Bartholomew; step sister, Babby Bartholomew; four grandchildren, Bryce and Kierstyn Mears, and Graham and Olivia Collins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
