Robert D. Golden, Jr.

Robert Golden, Jr., 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

Mr. Golden was born on January 11, 1928 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Robert D. Golden, Sr. and Lois Binford Golden. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and went on to retire from Robins Air Force Base. A charter member of Cochran Field Church of God, Robert and a few other original members of the church volunteered their time to build it.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty years, Rev. Gerry J. Golden, Bonaire; children, Joy Norman (Mickey), Columbus, Georgia, Kaye Hicks (Tim), Eastman, Georgia, Keith Golden (Susan), Dublin, Georgia, and Kim Dooley (Phil), Warner Robins; eight grandchildren, Treva Nolen, Drew Norman, Jan Hicks McAliley, Ryan and Brooke Golden, and Nathan, Matthew, and Dawson Dooley; four great-grandchildren, Grayson and Reese Nolen, Bethany Grace Dooley, and Macikaye McAliley; and brothers, Lamar Golden, Orlando, Florida and Emory Golden, Metter, Georgia.

Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in First Baptist Church Centerville Cemetery.
