Robert E. ''Bob'' Strauch

Robert ''Bob'' Strauch, 85, entered into rest on Saturday, December 24, 2011.

Bob was born on January 29, 1926 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific American Era, and received a Victory Medal. Bob had lived in Warner Robins since 2004, was a member of Senior Citizens of Centerville, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, step-grandfather, and great-grandfather. His first wife, Joan Strauch; and parents, Elmer J. Strauch and Rose Annette Strauch, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of ten years, Blanche Haller Strauch of Warner Robins; children, RoAnn E. (Stephen) Dwyer of Cookeville, Tennessee and Frederick L. Strauch of Fort Collins, Colorado; stepchildren, Sandra (Howard) Freeman of Annapolis, Maryland, Lawrence (Thais) Haller of Cavetown, Maryland, William (Susan) Haller of Warner Robins, and Patricia Ann Davis of Varcaturo, Italy; grandchildren, Shannon (Lane) Moore, Heather (Jeffrey) Hubbard, and Connor Strauch; step-grandchildren, Stefany (Robert) Sanders, Valiant (Leah), Nina, Miguel, and Caridad Haller, Katherine (Kyle) Callahan, Kelly (Charles) Haas, Scott, and Lesley Haller, Eric, and Andrea (Ray) Davis; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Monsignor Fred Nijem and Dr. Mike Parker will officiate. A committal service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the donor's favorite charity.
