Robert Edward Dees

Robert Edward Dees went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was 65 years old.

The son of Nobuko Motomitsu Dees and the late Clayton Dees, Sr., Robert was born in Izmir, Turkey, on December 20, 1956, while his father was in the military and serving overseas. He worked at Frito-Lay for over 30 years before his retirement. He then moved to Lake Sinclair where he enjoyed boating and competing in Bass tournaments. He attended Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair. Most of all, Robert loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with each and every one of his family members.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Audrey Gibson Dees of Lake Sinclair; son, Robert “Bobby” Edward Dees, Jr. (Jean) of Bonaire; mother, Nobuko Motomitsu Dees of Warner Robins; siblings, Betty Southerland (Ronnie), Barbara Gatlyn (Danny), Clayton Dees, Jr. (Vicki), Richard Dees (Marcelle) Gary Dees (Jan), Kenny Dees (Kammy); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Robert will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. or friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Robert to the charity of your choice.
