Robert W. "Bobby" Scruggs

Early on the morning of Thursday, June 15, 2017, Robert William "Bobby" Scruggs, 55, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mr. Scruggs was born on May 27, 1962 in Macon, Georgia. He was a member of the Class of 1980 at Northside High School in Warner Robins and attended both Georgia College and Middle Georgia State University. Mr. Scruggs was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, and had previously served as co-youth director at Centerville United Methodist Church. He was the owner of S&W Drywall and was also previously employed by DeFoor Acoustical Supply. An avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, he loved sports of all kinds as well as fishing, camping, and studying history. However, his greatest joy in life came from traveling and other time spent with his beloved family. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert William Scruggs, and his father-in-law, Robert Earl Wilson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 28 years, Cindy Wilson Scruggs; children, Seth Scruggs (Haley) of Macon and Whitney Tanner (Tyler) of Fort Valley; parents, Gordon and Mary Ellen Barnes of Warner Robins; brothers, Jeff Scruggs (Kelly) of Warner Robins and Sonny Barnes (Kelli) of Perry; step-sisters, Carolyn Garcia and Angie Stewart; mother-in-law, Ann Wilson; brothers-in-law Bobby Wilson (Lesley) and James Wilson (Beth); and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Central Georgia Cancer Center and Pine Pointe Hospice for their love and compassion during this difficult time.

Visitation with Mr. Scruggs's family will be Sunday, June 18, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017, at Centerville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Wayne Anthony, Reverend Anthony McPhail, and Jeff Scruggs officiating. Following the service, Mr. Scruggs will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
