Ronald Morton

June 14, 1951 — May 12, 2020

Ronald Morton, age 68, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 12, 2020.

Mr. Morton was born on June 14, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late George and Mary Morton. He lived his life as a simple man. Kind-hearted and gentle by nature, he was a loving person who was always fun to be around. He enjoyed golfing in his spare time, but his greatest joy in life came from time spent with his devoted family.

Ronald retired from Chicago Hardware and Fixture Company after 20 years as an assembler. His line supervisor, Lena, praised him as being a good-hearted guy who always gave all of the ladies on the line a rose every year for Mother’s Day. Ronald attended Beulahland Bible Church until his health failed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, George Morton, Jr., Larry Morton, H.C. Morton, Mae McGhee, and Bernice Pointer.

Ronald’s memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Faith Lockhart (Corey) of Warner Robins; his siblings, William Reed of St. Louis, Missouri and Lula Bolden of Round Lake, Illinois; his cousin, Charlie “Scooter” Morton, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; a friend who was like a brother, Van Grant of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
