Rose Marie Hayes

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 15, 2017, Rose Hayes, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Rose was born on June 27, 1952 in St. Clair, Michigan to the late Russell and Rosemary Smith Rumsey. She and her family moved to several different communities. Rose had a very positive outlook on life; she always looked for the best in people and situations she encountered. She had a big heart and was always forgiving; she enjoyed laughing, and making others laugh. Of all the things in Rose’s life that brought her happiness, her greatest joy was found in time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, her siblings, Michael Rumsey, Burner Rumsey, Sherry Moore, Pat Kendall, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Donald Ray Ross, Jr. (Leanne) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Andrea Chamberlain (Curt) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Nicole Ross, Christopher Ross, Joshua Ross, Nicholas Ross, Henry Davis, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Bailey, Kayson; and siblings, Russell Rumsey, Shirley Shelton, Mary Selph, Billy Rumsey, Pam Miller, Penny Lewis, and Sue Knowles.

Visitation with Rose’s family will be Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McCullough.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Rose Marie Hayes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
