Roy Horton

Roy Horton, 81, entered into rest on Friday, June 7, 2013.

Roy was born on February 12, 1932 in Johnson County, Georgia and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After retiring from Robins Air Force Base with thirty-two years of Civil Service, he worked with ARINC for many years. Roy was a member of Church of Christ in Byron and was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, computers, and traveling. His parents, Alonzo Manning and Vertice Crabb Horton; and grandson, Michael Mead, Jr., preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Martha Horton of Byron; daughters, Sheila Mead (Mike) of Eatonton, Pam Washko of Warner Robins, Cathy Randle (Charles) of Kathleen, and Cheryl Horton of Rincon; grandchildren, Christy, Brandon, Lacey, Tony, Charles and Preston; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Brianna, Alyx, Amelia, Ragan and Luke.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
