Rudy Walters, was "healed" in Jesus' name on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Rudy was born to the late Howard and Jewel Walters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He graduated from George S. Gardner High School in 1963 in Laurel, Mississippi, graduated from Mississippi State University in Aerospace Engineering, and then continued his education, receiving a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Rudy had many God-given talents that made his life blessing-filled. He enjoyed playing cards, sports, and writing. The Walters' family is so grateful to all for their love, prayers, and support during Rudy's surgery and hospital stay.
Rudy and Carol celebrated marriage in Guin, Alabama in 1969 and their 47th year of marriage took place June 28, 2016 while they were at Piedmont Hospital.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife, two sons, two daughters-in-law, one granddaughter, one brother, four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A celebration of Rudy's life will be open to family and friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Centerville United Methodist Church, 600 North Houston Lake Blvd, Centerville, GA, with Reverend Anthony McPhail officiating. Burial will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Centerville, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Rudy Walters to The American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road PMB #359, Macon, GA 31210.
