Russell G. Mitchelson

Russell G. Mitchelson, 74, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

Russell was born on April 17, 1937 in Auburn, New York. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he retired from the City of Warner Robins after twenty-eight years. Russell was of the Methodist faith and will be dearly missed as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His parents, Clarence Mitchelson and Alice Gallup Mitchelson; and grandson, Caleb Mitchelson, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Phyllis Mitchelson; sons, Brian Mitchelson and Will (Tonya) Mitchelson; grandchildren, Destiny Camp, Brandon, Dustin, Calee, and Annalyse Mitchelson; and great-grandson, Brandon Camp.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Chaplain Gene Saunders will officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
