Ruth Lindholm Fitzgerald

Ruth Fitzgerald, 61, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017.

Ruth was born on July 30, 1955 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to the late Alfred and Ruth Lindholm. With great pride and honor, she served in the United States Army. Later, Ruth worked at Sears for many years and most recently Kroger and Target. Spending time with family was always Ruth's highest priority; especially time with her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, William "Bob" Fitzgerald of Madison Heights, Virginia; children, Shannon Fitzgerald (Russell Nix) of Acworth; David Fitzgerald (Brittney) of Ft. Belvior, Virginia; grandchildren, Jazmin, Christian, and Olivia Fitzgerald; sister, Linda O'Donnell of Warner Robins; brother, Ronald Lindholm (Patricia) of Barryville, New York; nephew and nieces, Michael Kerwin; Kerilyn, and Jennifer O'Donnell; and other beloved nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island, New York, where Ruth will be laid to rest. A memorial service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Ruth Fitzgerald to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or Navicent Health Foundation, 858 High Street, Macon, GA 31201.
