Sfc Donald D. Pelletier, U.S. Army (Ret.)

On the morning of Friday, January 6, 2017, Donald Pelletier went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. He was 79 years old.

Donald was born on May 14, 1937 in Lewiston, Maine and was of the Methodist faith. He grew up in Poland Springs, Maine and graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. Following graduation, Donald proudly joined the U. S. Marine Corps and later transferred to the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army with 21 years of dedicated service. Donald retired from Civil Service at Fort McPherson as a computer analyst, as well. In his retirement years, he was a much-loved member of the VFW and enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur W. and Elizabeth Pelletier.

Donald's memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Gudrun Pelletier of Byron; children, Robert M. Pelletier (Terry) of Omaha, Nebraska and Brian G. Pelletier (Kirssy) of Danville, California; and brother, Arthur W. Pelletier of Rochester, New Hampshire.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th in Magnolia Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
