Sgt Vernon James Singletary, Us Army (Ret)

Vernon James Singletary, 57, entered into rest on Monday, June 24, 2013.

Vernon was born on June 12, 1956 in Danville, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne and retired with the rank of Sergeant. Vernon loved to work on vehicles and was employed with Firestone as a mechanic. He was the most happy when he was around his family and was a religious Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Falcons fan. His wife, Becky Lynn Singletary; parents, Elzie David Singletary, Sr. and Viera Bradshaw Singletary; and siblings, George and Frances, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, James Singletary and Megan Singletary, both of Warner Robins; stepson, Daniel Sullivan of Warner Robins; brothers, Butch Singletary, Ricky Singletary, Paul Singletary, Jack Singletary, Ben Singletary, and Mike Singletary; and many loving nieces and nephews.
