Donald A. McCandless, 66, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

Donald was born on June 2, 1946 in Franklin, Pennsylvania to the late Albert C. McCandless and Lucille Austin McCandless. He graduated from Rocky Grove High School in Franklin, Pennsylvania and served in the United States Air Force for twenty-three years before retiring as Senior Master Sergeant. He worked for ATTI and various other base contractors as well as Magnolia Transportation. Donald taught at Middle Georgia Technical College and was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-six years, Sandra McCandless; children, Shawn McCandless (Terri), Mike McCandless (Tosha), and Amanda Baugh, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jennifer Willeby, Cassie Draper, Kelley Dukes, Scott, Brittany, and Victoria McCandless, Kaleb Baugh, William McCandless, and Katelyn Baugh; great-grandchildren, Ashton Dyer, Bryson Willeby, Zachary Melton, Samuel McCandless, Holden Draper, and Lyric Dukes. He is also survived by brothers, Darrell, Tim, and Dennis McCandless, all of Trout Run, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family may be contacted at 146 S. Tamie Cir, Kathleen, GA 31047.
