Smsgt. Gary J. Koske, Usaf (Ret.)

Early on the morning of Wednesday, November 1, 2017, Gary John Koske, 72, departed his earthly home and entered into eternal rest.

SMSgt. Koske was born on August 21, 1945, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Paul and Alice (Berg) Koske. Growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, he excelled in football while in high school. He joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country with honor for 27 years before retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His military service brought him to central Georgia where he had lived for the past 32 years. Even though he lived in Georgia, he was still a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. SMSgt. Koske enjoyed fishing and camping and was a proud member of the NCO Club, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mabel M. Koske.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Darlene Koske; his sons, Eric Koske (Ruth Marie) of Marietta and Michael Koske (Amy) of Perry; his grandchildren, Zachary, Brooklyn, and Caitlyn; his siblings, Vernon Culver (Mary Ann) of Cudahy, Wisconsin, Richard Koske (Nancy) of Galax, Virginia, Randall Koske of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Steven Koske (Veronica) of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mark Koske of Junction City, Arkansas, and Jeffrey Koske of Shawano, Wisconsin; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering with SMSgt. Koske’s family will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Full military honors will be rendered at 1:00 p.m.
