Ssg Delma Walter Aman, U.S. Army (Ret.)

May 7, 1938 — August 29, 2015

Delma Walter Aman, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

On May 7, 1938, Delma was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina to the late Zack and Vivian Lockamy Aman. For 21 years, he proudly served his country in the United States Army fighting in Korea, Vietnam, and Panama and served in Germany. Delma was a longtime member of Byron Baptist Church and attended Northside Baptist Church for many years. A big "family man," he built his life around his family and his deep love, strength and integrity will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Delma was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Dersham; and brother-in-law, Lynell Bynum.

Delma's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 13 years, Reba Runelle Roberts Aman of Byron; stepdaughter, Stephanie Marie Self-Henry of Macon; sister, Ernestine Bynum of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina; brother, Zackie Aman of Lynchburg, Virginia; nephews, Steve Dersham (Tamela) of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, Chris Dershem of Fenton, Michigan, and Harry Bynum of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina; niece, Carolyn Rock (Nathan) of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Malindie Roberts and Runette Cadwell, both of Warner Robins; brothers-in-law, Colin Roberts (Porntip), Seaborn Roberts (Caron), and Mitchell Butler, all of Warner Robins; and his much-loved cat, "Sidney."

The family would extend a special thank you to Dr. Kirk and Dr. Shetty for their never ending care and support for Mr. Aman.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Randall Nash officiating.
