Richard Trauth, Jr., 68, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.

Richard was born on August 14, 1949 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Winifred McKelvey and Richard E. Trauth, Sr. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he served his country in two combat tours and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Richard went on to retire from the City of Warner Robins after dedicated several years in city maintenance.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 45 years, Johnnie Fae Trauth of Kathleen; children, Donald Richard Trauth (Sherry) of St. Cloud, Florida and Pearl M. Cox (Douglas) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Penni, Justin “Bear”, Justin “Mikey”, Dallas, Matthew, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Skylar, Kiley, Elijah, Chase, Jaxon, and Olivia; brother, Raymond Trauth (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Farmhouse at McCullough. Richard will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Andersonville National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 with military honors.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Richard Trauth, Jr. to the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
