Ssgt Doyle F. Lyon, Usaf Ret.

SSgt Doyle F. Lyon passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 12 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Bonaire City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

SSgt Lyon was born in Cartersville, Georgia. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service and later retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of the VFW, the Peace Officers Association, and was of the Baptist faith. His parents, James and Elizabeth Lyon, a brother, Jerry Lyon, and a sister, Deborah Chapman, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his companion, Zoe Baggarly, Macon; daughters, Sharon Moody, Baxley, GA; Felecia Lyon, Lancaster, CA; Judy Grieve, Boron, CA; son, James Doyle Lyon, Boron, CA; sisters, Charlotte Baggett, Warner Robins; Virginia Barron, Warner Robins; step-daughter, Kim Johnson, International Falls, MN; step-daughter in law, Debbie Bowman, Rainy River, Canada; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
